For 15 years, I worked inside some of India's largest companies — Amazon, Genpact — and saw the same thing over and over again. Corporate gifting was treated as a procurement task. A line item in someone's admin workload. The gifts were forgettable because the process was thoughtless.

I'd watch beautifully wrapped boxes arrive that said nothing about the people receiving them. I'd see teams scramble before Diwali, defaulting to the same vendor, the same catalogue, the same hamper everyone had seen before. And I'd think: we're missing the entire point.

Every gift a company gives is a relationship moment — a chance to make someone feel valued, seen, remembered. Most companies waste that moment without even realising it.

The Knots Studio grew from that frustration — and from a dream I'd carried for a long time. Not to build another gifting company, but to build something that treats gifting as a craft. Something that starts with the question "what do we want this person to feel?" rather than "what's in our budget?"

We're based in Bengaluru, but we deliver across India. Every gift that leaves our studio has been thought about, curated, and assembled with care. Not because it looks good on Instagram (though it does), but because that's the only kind of gifting worth doing.
